Good Attitude

Attitude is defined as the athlete’s state if mind in the approach, preparation and resulting athletic performance. A good attitude is visible when we experience adversity and we overcome that adversity. A good attitude is one of the athlete’s most valuable tools that allow challenges and adverse situations to be dealt with in a positive way. It is very easy to make excuses. We are especially great at making excuses for ourselves. Especially as it relates to our attitude during bad times. A good attitude is not easy at times.  It easy to have a good attitude when things are good. Can you have a good attitude in times of struggle? It will be an lifelong effort. It is always about balance. When that negative mind starts to grow, we must make the effort to bring that negative thought process down and grow the positive mind. If you can develop a good attitude, good things will follow in athletics and in life.
