Mental Toughness encompasses the ability to manage difficult situations. There is much focus on the physical attribute of athletics. However the importance of the mental do not seem to get the same level of development. The mind controls the body. What you believe, is what you have in you life be it positive or negative. Do not overlook the importance of the mind in athletics. The journey of an athlete is filled with adversity. Things do not always go as planned. Training and competition are the challenges for any athlete. Mental toughness will help an athlete handle the pressures of training and competition and develop positive self-belief. If you can maintain belief in self then you can overcome most anything. Develop mental toughness. Make it a foundation for your athletic journey. Mental toughness will help the athlete persevere and succeed in sports and in life.
